6 Countries in 1 Month: Cologne (Germany) Review βœˆ

This is the LAST post in my blog series of “6 Countries in 1 Month.” I hope you all have enjoyed reading these and hopefully it’s inspired you to travel and/or visit these places. So thank-you for reading this series or if you are new here then go check out my other posts!Β Here is a reminder for the places we travelled to, (we being my boyfriend and I):

🌟Belfast, Northern Ireland.

🌟Dublin, Ireland.

🌟Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

🌟Rome, Italy.

🌟Barcelona, Spain.

🌟Florence, Italy.

🌟Bologna, Italy.

🌟Milan, Italy.

🌟Berlin, Germany.

🌟Frankfurt, Germany.

🌟Cologne, Germany.

Where we stayed:

WeltempfΓ€nger Backpacker Hostel. For a Standard 6 Bed Mixed Dorm for one night it cost €38.00 for both of us. The hostel itself was very odd as it had a cafe underneath and then there was a door which led to above the cafe which was the hostel. It was very clean with bunkbeds and there was a kitchen too. We used the kitchen because we went to the local shop and bought a huge bag of potatoes to cook for ourselves (we didn’t eat the whole bag.) It was really chilled in the cafe with a bookcase filled with books and games in the corner. My boyfriend and I attempted to play one of the board games (the instructions were in German) and we spent a lot of time in the evening drinking coffee and some alcohol. There was also breakfast in the cafe which I paid for, there was a huge selection of cereals, pastries and fruit.

What we visited:

As we was only there for one day, we explored the town and visited Cologne’s famous cathedral. Cologne was more of a stop off as it was cheaper to fly from there back to the UK rather than Frankfurt. The city was lovely and not too busy.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 stars. I’d definitely go back though I’m not sure if there is much else to see in Cologne.
