So some background information… during May and June 2016, me and my best friend/boyfriend decided to save up and go for a month’s travelling around Europe. It was the perfect time to do it as we’d just finished our undergraduate degrees and apart from having to be back in time for the Brexit vote and graduation we had few summer plans. So we started booking this time last year (January 2016) and after planning it (around 4 or 5 times over the summer beforehand) we decided on a clear plan of where we would go.
Go check out my previous posts! So here again is a list of places that we travelled to:
Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Milan, Italy. – Review will be posted 31/3/17
Berlin, Germany. – Review will be posted 7/4/17
Frankfurt, Germany. – Review will be posted 14/4/17
Cologne, Germany. – Review will be posted 21/4/17
Where we stayed:
We stayed in B&B Parigi only for one night, as we was were going on a train around Italy (Rome, Florence, Bologna then Milan). It cost us €85.00 for a double deluxe with an en-suite. The owner was lovely and gave us a voucher for breakfast as the room had no kitchen. The room itself was spacious with a massive bathroom. Very clean with a comfortable bed! It was really close to the city centre and I’d definitely stay there again!
What we visited:
As we was only there for one full night then we couldn’t really cram that much in. We explored the town and then went and visited Santuario di Madonna di San Luca and the park. Bologna was really lovely, it wasn’t too busy and we had to have bolognese there as that is was it is renowned for and why it’s given its name! As we was only there for one night I can’t go into too much detail but I would visit again.
I’d definetly go back to Bologna, it was really lovely there though I’m not sure that there is that much to do there, so I’d go back for a weekend whilst also going to somewhere else in Italy.
