Part II: 5 TV shows (that are still on TV) that I’d recommend you to watch: 📺

Welcome to Part II of my recommended TV shows! You’ll find my Part I:  5 TV shows (that have ended) that I’d recommend you to watch just below this post! So give that a read too! 💕

Supernatural

supernatural-day

Okay so this is a show that you’ve probably heard of and maybe even watched an episode or two. If you were like me two years ago then the number of seasons may put you off BUT I do highly recommend you giving it a watch!  The TV show is about two brothers Dean and Sam, in the first episode Dean shows up at Sam’s house telling him that his father is missing. Sam thinking nothing of his disappearance reluctantly goes with Dean for a few days to help track him down, after failing to find him, Sam returns home and finds his girlfriend murdered by a demon in the same way his mother had been killed. Therefore causing him to return to Dean. Both brothers are demon hunters and hunt other supernatural beings. The season has obviously developed into a lot more than just Sam and Dean hunting with the help of their Dad’s journal, but I won’t put any more spoilers in. The show is currently on it’s 12th season and has been running since 2005.

⭐⭐⭐ 3/5 stars. Although I do love Supernatural, I miss the way it used to be and the simpleness of it.

My favourite season:  8

The Walking Dead

Again, another show you have probably heard of and maybe watched in its earlier days. Trust me when I say, keep watching. Originally based off comic books it follows the story of a sheriff’s deputy called Rick. After being in a coma for some time to wake up to find the world not as he had left it. With nobody around he soon realises that the world has turned into a zombie apocalypse, desperate for answers and help he tries to track down his family (wife Lori and son Carl). The show has a vast number of characters now, each with their own story lines and struggles. The show is currently on its 7th season and has been running since 2010.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 stars

My favourite season: 4

Once Upon A Time

If you love fairy tails and Disney then this show is for you. It’s a mixture of both in a 21st century environment. The first episode starts off with the main character Emma celebrating her birthday alone, giving the viewers the impression that this is a regular occurrence, before she goes to blow out her candle there is a knock on her down. Opening it to find a 10 year old boy called Henry who informs Emma that she is his mother and that she has to help him break the evil curse that the Evil Queen has on Storybrooke, who is also his adopted mother. The show is currently on its 6th season and has been running since 2011.

⭐⭐⭐ 3/5 stars – Although I do love this series, I feel as though it should have ended last season.

My favourite season: 2

Game of Thrones

Based off a book series by George R.R. Martin, this show follows through a number of story lines regarding a number of powerful families. It’s incredibly hard to explain this series, but short version is a lot of people want to claim the Iron Throne and there is a lot of deaths to try to claim this title whilst on the other hand there is a group of men guarding a wall trying to stop the White Walkers. Basically, if you haven’t watched it then you need to! This show currently has 6 seasons, the 7th one airing in the middle of this year. It’s been around since 2011.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 stars

My favourite season: 1

And lastly…

Orphan Black

Ever wondered what it would be like to be at the train station and then all of a sudden seeing someone who looks just like you? Only for them not to be shocked at all and instead look at you minutes before jumping in front of a train? Well this is how Orphan Black starts! The main character Sarah Manning then takes on the identity of Beth (the one who jumped in front of a train) to figure out who this person is. With the help of her brother (adopted) Felix she discovers that she is a clone! and with the help of fellow clones (and her sisters?) Alison (a typical soccer mom) and Cosima (a science geek), Sarah has to discover why these clones exist. It’s a very good series and very underrated too! It’s on its 4th season and has been around since 2013. I’ve only watched up to half way through season 3.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 stars

My favourite season: 1
